Server logs
This website is hosted on servers of our hosting provider, Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus), acting as our processor. When you open this site, the web server automatically records technical access data sent by your browser. This includes in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, the page visited before (referrer), browser type and version, the operating system used, the amount of data transferred and the HTTP status code.
This data is processed solely to deliver the page, to detect and fend off attacks and to keep the site running securely. It is not merged with other data sources and not used to build usage profiles. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The access data is stored only for as long as these purposes require and is then deleted automatically. The exact retention period follows the technical defaults of our hosting provider; we will tell you more on request.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies to recognise or track visitors and embeds no third-party tracking.
We set exactly one cookie ourselves. It is called “einwilligung” and stores whether you agreed to or declined the Google map in the cookie notice. It holds only that choice (“karte” or “nein”), no identifier, and is deleted after six months. This cookie is necessary to respect your choice and not ask again on every page (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You can change your choice at any time: “Cookie settings” is at the bottom of every page. Declining has no drawbacks; all content stays available.
No external fonts
The typefaces are stored on our own server and delivered from there, so opening this site establishes no connection to Google or any other font provider.
Visitor counting without cookies
We count how often our pages are opened and how often one of our contact options (such as the telephone number or the email address) is tapped. To do so, your browser sends a short notice to our own server when a page is opened and when one of these contact options is tapped. All we store is a daily total per page, for example “home page, 14 views”.
We store neither your IP address nor any identifier, set no cookie for this and place nothing on your device for it. A single visit cannot be recognised from these totals or followed across pages, and no data goes to third parties. If “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control is switched on in your browser, your visit is not counted. The totals are deleted after 400 days at the latest. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Map
The address is also given as a plain link to Google Maps. The link loads no map into our page and establishes no connection to Google while you are merely visiting. Only when you click it does Google Maps open, and Google's privacy terms then apply.
The contact page additionally offers an embedded Google map. It is loaded only with your consent. As long as you have neither agreed in the cookie notice nor pressed the button “Load the map from Google”, no connection to Google is made and no data is sent there.
If you agree in the cookie notice, we load the map directly whenever you open the contact page, until you change your choice or the cookie expires after six months. If you only press the button instead, the consent covers the current page view. In both cases the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). When the map loads, your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to Google (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland), Google may set its own cookies, and Google's privacy terms apply. We cannot rule out a transfer to Google LLC in the United States. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Enquiry and purchase forms
When you write to us through one of the forms, we process what you enter there: your name and email address, optionally your phone number, your message, the subject of your enquiry and whether you would like a call back, and — for the purchase form — vehicle type, year, mileage and any photographs you attach. If your enquiry concerns a specific vehicle from our stock, its description and stock number travel with it so we know what you mean.
We use these details solely to handle your enquiry and reply to you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract is being prepared or performed, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
The message is delivered to our mailbox through the mail server of our hosting provider, Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus), acting as our processor. No other service is involved in sending it.
Photographs uploaded through the purchase form are stored on our webspace outside the publicly reachable area. They cannot be retrieved through the website. We delete them automatically after 30 days.
To keep automated submissions out, each form contains a field visible only to programs, together with a timestamp of when the page was opened. On top of that there is a human check: after you tick “I am a human”, your browser solves a small computing task set and verified by our own server. No data is passed to third parties, no cookies are set and no characteristics of your device are analysed. All of this serves spam protection alone (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); no individual is tracked.
We also store your enquiry in our internal administration area on the same webspace so that our team can handle and answer it. Only our staff, each with their own protected login, have access. If we reply by email and you write back, we link your reply – including any images or PDF files you attach – to the enquiry. We delete completed enquiries automatically twelve months after the last contact, and photographs and attachments after 30 days.
Your details are not passed to any further third party. Your message stays in our mailbox for as long as handling it requires; beyond that, statutory retention periods apply.
We offer WhatsApp as a way to write to us. The buttons are plain links: WhatsApp opens only when you tap one, and WhatsApp Ireland Limited’s privacy policy then applies. Merely visiting this website makes no connection to WhatsApp. We use messages you send us there solely to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Your rights
Within the statutory conditions you have the right to information about the data stored about you, to rectification of incorrect data, to erasure of your data and to restriction of processing. You may also object to the processing of your data where it is based on a legitimate interest.
Please contact the controller named above. Independently of that, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information for North Rhine-Westphalia.
